Archers announces the launch of its Employment & Labour Law practice as of January 2026, with the arrival of Anna-Christina Chaves, who is joined by a team of three associates to establish, structure and lead this new strategic practice.
Anna-Christina Chaves and her team advise French and international companies, financial institutions and investment funds on the full range of employment and labour law matters, both advisory and contentious, with particular expertise in cross-border projects, restructurings, business transfers and complex social situations.
She has developed a pragmatic, financially-driven employment law practice, notably advising on M&A transactions, employment audits and due diligences, HR integrations, management incentive schemes, restructuring plans (collective redundancies, mutually agreed collective terminations, short-time working schemes, voluntary departure plans), as well as remuneration policies and employee savings plans.
In 2025, Anna-Christina Chaves was involved in several landmark transactions. She notably advised Ardian on the sale of Grand Frais to US-based Apollo in December 2025. She also assisted Magellan Partners in the acquisition of a business unit from Worldline (formerly ATOS) in November 2025, enabling Magellan to double in size. In addition, she advises La Grande Récré in connection with the transformation of its business model from integrated stores to member-owned cooperative stores.
The creation of the Employment & Labour Law practice is part of a strategy of close synergies with the firm’s corporate, restructuring, litigation and tax teams, enabling Archers to offer its clients an integrated, cross-practice and highly operational approach in support of their strategic decision-making.
With this new practice, Archers continues its growth and strengthens its positioning as a trusted partner for companies facing strategic, economic and human challenges.
“I am delighted to join Archers to create and lead its new Employment & Labour Law practice. This project is built not only on technical synergies, but above all on shared values and a strong culture of professional excellence. The opportunity to work alongside teams recognised for their expertise, integrity and sense of responsibility was a decisive factor. This project also reflects our shared ambition: to provide clients with strategic, pragmatic advice fully integrated into their transformation challenges. The natural synergies with the firm’s other practices represent a genuine value-creation lever for clients seeking comprehensive, high-value legal advice,” said Anna-Christina Chaves.
